Electricity’s roots are deep, going back over two thousand years. While many point to Benjamin Franklin as the inventor of electricity, it was the ancient Greeks who actually made many earlier electricity related discoveries. Over time humans have learned to transmit and harness electricity for countless uses in modern technology. From the development of Edison’s light bulb to modern day electrical engineers work with satellite communications electricity has been credited with a wide range of technologies.

Our power, control, instrumentation, telecommunication and electronics engineers design, develop and supervise start up of electrical systems and electronic devices and have been involved in developing some of the most complex power systems for utilization in a variety of industries. When they are not busy developing proposals, preparing budgets, specifying equipment and troubleshooting systems, MATE’s electrical engineers are project managing and performing engineering design for power stations, natural gas installations and electric power generation projects.
